In the 1990s Tom organised suave Sundays ‘back at the ranch ’where he and Glenn Croft would invite over willing audiophiles to play jazz and classical music.
While it scarcely seems credible now, this was the heyday of the Linn and Naim hegemony, and our ‘heroes’ frequently encountered a great deal of negativity toward their ‘alternative’ offerings among those retailers reluctant or unable to think – or listen – for themselves.
Yet both companies have gone from strength to strength, and for many who purchase a NAS turntable, nothing else will do.
Tom passed away in 2011 since when his daughter has taken over the reins – having started accompanying her father to trade shows at a very tender age, she can truly be said to have Nottingham Analogue spliced through her DNA. And now more than ever NAS are producing some of the most beautiful, if still somewhat idiosyncratic, turntables, built in the UK to a very high standard of fit and finish.
We have all the models in the range on demonstration along with different 9” and 12” tonearms.
Why not come and listen and make your own mind up – bring a favourite album and see what you’re missing.
