Deposits, deliveries, refunds, orders & cancelled orders, returns etc.

Payment Methods.

Our preferred method is bank transfer or debit card. We also accept payment via PayPal* ‘Friends and Family’ Visa and MasterCard. Sorry, but no Amex or Diners Club. NB. PayPal payment is subject to an 3.5% additional charge unless items are purchased through our eBay store.


Deposits taken to secure stock items will be considered as entering into a legally-binding contract.

Since we will then effectively be removing the item from sale until the balance is paid in full and the goods released, it’s important payment is made within the terms agreed at the time of the initial deposit being paid.

NB. We reserve the right to retain the original deposit in full if the purchase is not completed within 6 months of the initial deposit being paid.

Special Orders & Cancellations.

All special orders are charged at 50% up-front, with the balance due on collection, or prior to delivery or installation.

Distance selling laws apply to all our orders taken via telephone, ie. 14 day money back guarantee.

Cancellations. Regarding any other returns we should be notified in writing within 14 days. A restocking charge may apply if ‘buyer’s remorse’ is the reason for return. It’s rare, but it happens, but very often other solutions can be found.


Refunds on returned products will normally be made within 7 days of acceptance of the returned equipment – see ‘Product Returns’ below.

Sorry, there are no formal finance options on offer. In truth there’s little demand for it, a 0% interest credit card is normally better deal in any case.

We are not a bank, but we can often arrange a short ‘staged payments’ scheme, with monthly instalments made at 30/60/90 day intervals. Once paid in full you can collect the goods .

Product Returns.

In the event that you need to return a product, we offer a 28 day money back guarantee.

Midland Audio Xchange will arrange and pay for the cost of returning the product, providing the equipment is returned, in originally the supplied condition, in all original packaging with all supplied accessories, manuals, etc.

To arrange a return you must inform us within 28 days of date of supply. Refunds will be processed upon the satisfactory receipt and inspection of the equipment and will be reimbursed using the original payment details.

Refunds will normally be made within 7 days of acceptance of the returned equipment. If the return is due to missing items or faulty parts then Midland Audio Xchange will offer a full refund or replacement product provided we are informed of this within 10 working days of date of delivery.


All UK deliveries are made using UPS. The cost of delivery on new items is included in the purchase price. Saturday delivery is available at an extra cost.

Delivery costs will apply on second-hand items via UPS or DPD.

Mainland UK. Shipments are normally sent next day delivery. Highland & Island delivery times may be longer.

European/International. All exports are chargeable at the market rate. We use FedEx and DHL express services for delivery.

Equipment Warranties.

Main equipment (components) supplied by Midland Audio Xchange are supplied with a 2 year parts and labour guarantee, except where the manufacturer’s warranty is longer. Peripherals and accessories are supplied with a 1 year guarantee, except where the manufacturer’s warranty is longer. Used items, if out of warranty, have a minimum of 3 months with a ‘return to base’ policy. Any product sold still in warranty will have the remaining period applied.
